Father, Son, Brother,Husband.
It all started with a headache, The Fourth of July weekend in the year 2000. Blurred vision followed w/perhaps some minor partial seizures. Ambulanced to MGH in Boston, the journey began. Diagnosis - Brain tumor - Surgery - Chemo - Radiation Many tears, shock, a family that surrounded him with answers to so many issues, that a person is diagnosed has to face. Social Security, Healthcare, Disability, Treatment options, 1,2,3,4,5 second, third opinions, to be sure MGH was on the same page as other BT Centers.
Was on CCNU, Procarbazine and Vincristine for 13 months, a grueling 3 drug combo. During that time, MRI's every 3 months. Radiation followed, for 6 weeks.
I watched my son vomit - I watched my son be so very sick - I watched my son endure hard medicines - I watched my son be so tired - I watched my son cry I watched my son love - I watched my son HOPE
Today I watch my son LIVE.
Kevin is an 8+ year survivor of this disease. For the MOM'S...........I kiss his head every day.
